With Attendant Hold - Remote Retrieve, users can pick up calls placed on Hold by the attendant. The attendant uses paging to inform the user that a call is waiting and instructs them to dial the required digits (Console ID and Hold Slot number) to retrieve it.
NOTE: Attendant Hold - Remote Retrieve is the new name for the Call Park feature in previous releases.
This feature is not supported in a cluster/network; use Call Park/Group Park instead.
Consoles can have up to eight calls on Hold at any given time.
When the Call Hold Timer expires, the held call recalls the attendant.
When the console changes from "Operator Present" to "Operator Absent" on 5540 IP Console:
internal calls on Hold are dropped
external calls on Hold are either rerouted (to the Holding Party Locked Out destination in the Intercept Handling form) or dropped (if no destination programmed).
When the console changes from "Operator Present" to "Operator Absent" on IP Console applications all calls on Hold are automatically routed to a programmed answering point after a pre-determined period of time.
